How to Shut off Your Lake Mary Water

You come home from a long day of work and you notice a leak on your plumbing system. We get many calls from frantic customers trying to shut their water off and not knowing where to shut it down. First off in hindsight you should know where your valve is and if you dont have one you should have a Lake Mary plumber install one so you have one in an emergency plumbing situation. But if you don’t and you find yourself in a plumbing emergency look for the meter box and usually it is on the same side of the house where the meter box is.

Once you find the box look on that side of the house for a valve with a round handle usually blue or red. If you find it great if you don’t see any valve on the side or front of your Lake Mary home then find the closest hose conection to the meter usually in the front or side of the house and dig in front of it about one to two feet deep. Usually you should see the pipe for your home follow it back until you find a valve and shut the water off.

Hopefully you see this blog before you have a plumbing emergency and you can locate your Lake Mary water shut off before there is a problem because sometimes finding a valve can take time and even a few minutes of water running can cause a lot of water damage.
